Napisałem już zapowiedź o Railways of England and Wales. Wówczas nie znalazłem żadnych wiadomości, o tym jak będzie wyglądał drugi wariant reguł dla tego dodatku. W międzyczasie na BGN pojawiło się trochę nowych informacji – szykuje się naprawdę niezły kąsek dla graczy lubiących gry kolejowe.
zapozyczenia z 18xx? raczej 18xx z zapozyczeniami z RT ;) interesujące
na razie brzmi bardziej jak rrt+chicago express jednak bardziej niz rrt + 18xx… ale i tak ogromnie ciekawie
Na BGG porównują to do Pampas Railroads – ktoś kto grał może się wypowiedzieć?
Brzmi dobrze. Chociaż czegoś tu nie rozumiem. Skoro w podstawce nie będzie się używać baronów ani tych kart co można licytować. I tutaj też tego nie ma, to gdzie to będzie?
Gry crayon nie mają specjalnie innych mechanizmów niż chicago express, są właściwie tylko bardziej rozbudowane, dłuższe, np. akcja „rozwój” ma większy sens niż w CE (gdzie służy bardziej kontroli tempa gry i zmiany tur). Ciekawy jestem jak sprawdzi się w rzeczywistości mieszanka cech tych różnych systemów. Trochę martwi mnie za to kombinowanie z podstawkami-dodatkami. Mam AoS, pewnie będę miał Steam i jeszcze muszę kupić trzecią podstawkę?
Bartek: na „normalnych” zasad RT / RotW baronowie i karty operacyjne są. W zaawansowanych zasadach dla Railways of England nie będzie się po prostu ich używać.

Dla sprecyzowania – Pampas nie wydaje mi się grą z gatunku crayon, Winsome użył kredek po prostu z oszczędności. Gry, w których kredki są naprawdę ważne, to cała seria Empire Builder.
niby jest uważany za 'crayon’, ten system obejmuje bardzo różne w swoim duchu gry, od przewożenia towarów do wyścigów – ale w gruncie rzeczy masz rację, oryginalne gry z serii to np. Empire Builder i to coś zupełnie innego (choć nie grałem). Chodziło oczywiście o nawiązania do gier z serii Prairie Railroads, z których grałem właśnie w Pampasa (choć tylko raz).
Btw, Winsome rzucił teraz sporo reprintów :).

pampas railroads to praktycznie to samo co chicago express, tylko 5 razy dluzsze :-) moze jest w tym wiecej strategii, ale dla mnie nie warte zwiekszonego czasu gry. jesli ktos chce mi oddac 50$ ktore za niego dalem, zapraszam :p

To jest dodatek! Żeby w niego zagrać musisz mieć podstawkę.
ciekawe też, jak dobra będzie gra, której autor walczy na noże z wydawcą (z powodu druku AoS) i komentuje sprawę tak: „Still pissed off with FRED. This was already in the pipeline – contract already signed. Did ask for design to be returned but FRED declined”
Jest trochę „smrodek” wokół FRED’a. Gra powstała przed wydaniem trzeciej edycji AoS’a – słyszałem o niej już na początku roku. Po tym jak FRED wydał AoS 3rd edition, Martin Wallace się wkurzył i stwierdził, że nic nie chce mieć do czynienia z tą firmą.
Pytanie czy gra była już skończona przed tym jak MW się wkurzył, czy musiał jeszcze coś kończyć / dorabiać, bo kontrakt był podpisany. Raczej nie sądzę, żeby gra była zepsuta czy niedorobiona – na pewno ją testowali. Tak czy siak, kolejnych rozszerzeń do Railways of the World spod ręki Martina Wallace’a raczej nie mamy co się spodziewać.

Chcę a właściwie chciałem kupić dodatek rails of europe głównie ze względu na to, że będzie można grać w mniejszą ilość graczy. I teraz mam klina bo nie wiem czy czekać aż wyjdzie Railways of England, który wydaje się spełniać rolę roe i w dodatku ma zasady dla zaawansowanych.. Jest ktoś na tyle obeznany żeby doradzić mógł?
