I oto mam przed sobą anglojęzyczne wydanie (NSKN Games). I pierwszą partię za sobą.

Dice manipulation

To była cudowna rozgrywka, która w każdej turze umożliwiała użytkownikowi wykorzystanie swoich szarych komórek na początek w celach zaplanowania sobie upatrzonych akcji za pomocą mechaniki dice manipulation, a następnie tych akcji wykonanie. Ciągniemy bowiem z woreczka kostki (każdy ma swój limit podnoszony przez pewne działania w grze), rzucamy, a potem wykorzystujemy pewne symbole, aby już to przekręcić jakąś kość, przerzucić trzy kości, dociągnąć dwie kolejne (i przerzucić). Nie mówię, że zawsze da się coś z tego wyciągnąć (na wykonanie akcji research w sile 3 czekałam aż trzy rundy!) ale daje to naprawdę spore możliwości. A z początkowych 5 kostek zrobiło mi się na koniec gry aż 21…  co miało swoje zarówno dobre jak i złe strony. Następnym razem będę celować w ca. 15 – ale dobrze przemyślanych – sztuk ;)

Deck/pool building

Bo to mechanika z pogranicza pool building. A może bag building? Kostki nie wracają od razu do woreczka. Tak jak w najbardziej klasycznym, stworzonym przez Donalda X. Vaccarino deck buildingu – uzupełnimy woreczek dopiero wtedy, gdy wyciągniemy z niego wszystkie kości. I dlatego warto iść w jakość niż w ilość- choć jak kostek będzie za mało to też z tego nic ciekawego nie będzie.

Po dice manipulation następuje faza akcji – przy czym jedną akcję wykonać musisz (o ile możesz), ale najprawdopodobniej wykonasz dwie.

Ustawiamy podczas tych akcji swoje namioty na kafelkach, eksplorujemy teren, podmieniamy namioty przeciwnika na wlasne (w grze dwuosobowej jest to najrzadziej wykonywana akcja – każdy może rozrastać się w swoim kierunku i nie musi wchodzić w drogę rywalowi), zdobywamy zasoby (to się nazywa „żniwa”) i tak dalej. A wszystko po to, by postawić jak najwięcej domów, zdobyć kontrolę nad punnktującymi kafelkami i rozwijać technologię (która daje umiejętności i punkty jednocześnie).

Jest to gra o średnim (w porywach do lżejszego) poziomie ciężkości. Gracz familijny może mieć delikatny problem z ogarnięciem jej podczas pierwszej partii. Ale nie znaczy to, że nie ogarnie w ogóle – a przy odrobinie chęci zagra drugi raz, i ten drugi na pewno będzie już efektywny. Dla mnie – pierwsze kilka rund było macaniem się z grą ale mniej więcej w połowie załapałam już o co chodzi i konsekwentnie dążyłam do celu. Czyli – krótko mówiąc – punktów zwycięstwa.

Pierwsze wrażenia

To tylko pierwsze wrażenia po pierwszej rozgrywce, która była dwuosobowa. Podejrzewam, że w 4 osoby powinno być jeszcze bardziej czadowo, bo zaczniemy mocniej konkurować o terytorium. W dwójkę wyszło tak, że każda z nas poszła w innym kierunku i w drugiej części gry w zasadzie przestałyśmy sobie wchodzić w drogę. Co też miało swój urok.

Tak czy owak, na pierwszy rzut oka gra jest warta tego, by w nią grać, by nią się cieszyć, by ją posiadać. A premiera polskiego wydania (Lucrum Games) tuż tuż, więc szykujcie portfele :)

    Hmmmm, brzmi naprawdę dobrze. Lubię gry w takim klimacie. Myślę, że mogłaby się spodobać i mi i mojej żonie :)
